While studying my masters in user experience design at Napier university, our group of 3 was tasked with developing a prototype of a speculative artefact that incorporates biometric technology. Through brainstorming ideas, we concluded with 'Memorygram'
With inspiration from social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook, as well as movies such as Disney's Inside Out. Memorygram is a memory storage system that captures and stores core memories for individuals to share and re-visit later. The systems aim is to help people capture moments that happen in their lifetime. With the application being on a smartwatch wearable device, the biometrics will detect a core memory triggering and record it.
A large part of this task involved conducting useful research methods that impacted the decisions made. from early research, such as competitor analysis and the biometrics speculated. To generating interviews and customer service blueprints (as seen above).
Axure RP was used to create a prototype of Memorygram. The images above show the splash page you would see when using the application.
The images above show the pop-up that would trigger when the systems biometrics are detecting a core memory happening. Allowing the user to record the memory and share/store it.
The home screen included the user's profile, as well as a map that shows you location near you where your memories were recorded. Allowing the user to revisit them and experience the memory again.
Similar to other social medias. Each contact has pinned memories they want to share.
The memories you store can then be saved into personal albums. Where you can select who gets to view your captured memory.
